Edufolios AU theme: Adding my cover and profile image

Want to personalise your Edufolio? Here's how to change the cover and profile image and begin your professional brand.

When you log in you will see your dashboard and from here, you can customise your Edufolio and make it your own. To do that, you need to click on the “Customise your site” button.  This will take you to a menu system we’ve created to make it easy for you to make changes in one place.

On the left of the screen, you will see a set of menus. Each of these contains settings which can be navigated using the arrows.  On the right-hand side of your screen, you will see a preview of your site.  As you make changes in the menus you can see what they will look like as the preview updates.  None of the changes that you make will be public until you want them to be.  So, feel free to experiment until you’re happy.

You will find the option to add and change your profile and cover images amongst these menus.  Select the “Images” menu.  Inside this menu, you will see four spaces to upload images.

Cover Image: (Recommended size 1500 X 500) This is the image that will sit behind the 7 icons for the standard at the top of your page

Profile Image: (Recommended size 380 X 380) This image sits in the square that is to the left of the 7 icons.  This is usually a professional photograph of you.

Facebook Image:  If uploaded, this image will be used as the default photograph whenever you share a link from your Edufolio to the Facebook Platform

Twitter Image:  If uploaded, this image will be used as the default photograph whenever you share a link from your Edufolio to Twitter

In all cases,  to add an image, click “Select image”.  Doing so will load a screen from which you can select “Insert Image” and choose a photograph from the files on your computer. Don’t worry too much if it’s not the recommended size as, once you’ve selected your image, you will be taken to a screen to crop the photo to the correct width and height. When you’re happy with your selection, click “Crop Image".  Your new image will be previewed for you on the right-hand side of your screen.

NOTE: This change is not public until you click the “Save and Publish” button found in the top left of your screen, next to the menus you have been navigating to make your changes. As soon as your changes are saved, they are public and your visitors can see your changes.
